Oak casing moulding is the wooden lining material that covers the voids at the sides and top of the door opening. They cover the edges of the bricks and mortar (or other material, as the case may be)through which the door has been cut giving a neat and professional finish to the opening. Oak casings, like their softwood counterparts are available in various widths, but the standard widths produced are normally 115mm and 138mm.
